Scott Bayles recently published a new book: Holy Heroes of the Bible. This is the third book in his Holy Heroes series. The first book, Holy Heroes: The Gospel According to DC and Marvel, looked at many superheroes and found Biblical connections in their stories and character arcs. After a long weekend of serving at a youth conference on the tech team, I finally made it to see Marvel’s The Eternals on Sunday night of the opening weekend. I read the run that Niell Gaiman wrote and found it fascinating so this was something about which I was excited. I wish I had …
Dozens of people, phones out, stand in shock, desperation, and fear. They stand in a public square in Latvia watching a man called Captain America slam his shield on a screaming, unarmed man.
