So, what does this year look like? For me it looks like a full semi load but not all of it is Nerd Chapel. I’m attending the Nerd Culture Ministry Summit in April, getting married in July, and then there is the con schedule. My summer won’t be the same kind of full that it was in 2025.
The Nerd Culture Ministry Summit (NCMS) is a meeting in Colorado for Christians who want to connect with and minister to nerds, gamers, anime fans, etc. I attended the first one, held in Texas, a couple years ago and found it very encouraging and helpful. Excited for more training and networking this year.

In July I’m getting married to a wonderful woman who is kind, skilled, committed to Jesus, and wants to journey with me. I do not plan on doing any shows this month.
My Gen Con will be shortened this year. I won’t be at the con until probably Saturday. I’ll be late because of something called a honeymoon. I will still be involved with the Sunday Service, but the Christianity and Gaming Panel is another question altogether. I’m not yet sure if that will be hosted by another person or if we will just not have it this year.
I am definitely doing several small one day shows this year. They are great because they are affordable and provide good chances for discussion and meeting people with low pressure.
I have submitted table applications to a couple large shows this year. FanExpo Chicago and GalaxyCon Columbus. These shows are not easily affordable. I’ve had tables at GalaxyCon on several occasions and with a large crowd I had some great conversations, and I’ve also done Chapel there on Sunday morning 3 times. FanExpo definitely had some good connections when i had a table last year and I’m hoping to get a spot for chapel there.

But this all costs money so I set up a GoFundMe. This will alleviate travel and lodging costs for the expensive cons and NCMS. Take this link to learn more.
